The 2021 April Fool's update was a joke update released on April 1, 2021. Most of its features were revoked the following day. It included Australia Mode, Chaos Mode, and a new era, Dawn of Civilization. Dawn of Civilization would remain in the game for almost a year before being removed for unknown reasons in 2021, later being re-added in 2024.

Australia Mode was a newly added setting that set the music to the Among Us Trap Remix, which was heavily popular on the internet at the time. It also rotated the screen upside down in reference to jokes about Australia. Unlike Dawn of Civilization, it was removed after the end of the April Fool's event.

Dawn of Civilization was an empty map, dubbed a "White World." It took place in 4000 BC, based around the start of ancient civilizations. This change was expected to only last throughout April Fools' Day, but was kept even after the update. It is a controversial era amongst the community due to its nature.
It was the only 2021 April Fools' Day addition to be kept. This changed on September 12, 2021 when it was deleted due to griefers and heavy criticism. It was re-added on March 21, 2022 for an unknown reason, but was later removed. On October 14, 2024, it was re-added for the last time.
Chaos after 3 years
Chaos Mode[]
Chaos Mode was another addition added removed the following day, focusing on complete anarchy and without a proper theme or era. The Chaos Mode map was almost certainly free painted or random painted constantly.
