AgentJobo, also known as Jobo is the former and only holder of the Vice Chairman rank. He has been around since the start of the community and is a notable figure in World Conquest. Although Jobo has now distanced himself from the community, evident by him not being in the group, however he remains an influential and important figure within World Conquest.
History[]
Jobo has been apart of World Conquest since August 2017, when he joined Phibunsongkhram in his journey about half a month after World Conquest started. During this time, not much is known as all the information given were posts by Phibun himself on who Jobo was during those early years. During this time, he served as the Vice-Chairman and was meant to help with staff and rank related issues mainly.
By early-2018, several thousand players had joined the group, and by this point in time, Jobo implemented many reforms to the Staff Team and to the community. During this short time in the Bsam period, Jobo would enact several staff reforms in an attempt to increase the number of moderators and other high ranking positions along with implementing more lenient reforms to boost daily player count.
After plenty of reforms, the release of the new Deluxe version and the ever-increasing amount of players, Jobo had become stagnant in terms of his contribution during the months of March through June as he took a break to focus on other things. It was not long until the supposed "Penguin Revolution" would occur, after which Jobo came back to the server and had to implement staff reforms, which made it significantly harder for people to become staff on the server. Furthermore, "Staff Purges" as the community would call them would were undertaken, causing many high ranking staff members to lose their positions as attempts were underway to rid the staff team of alts and raiders.
Controversy[]
Throughout the history of this community, Jobo has been a controversial figure in the game’s community. In mid-2019, a rumour came up that Jobo was false banning individuals for very small offenses, or even for nothing. This rumour was proved to be mostly true, however this was sometimes embellished by people, as people who were either rightfully banned by him or unrightfully banned (but did commit an offense) would say they got banned for nothing. This was one of the most famous rumors about him and is the main reason for a large portion of the community hating Jobo or disagreeing with his actions, although reports of him doing this are very much rarer than before. Moreover, the second controversy was about the staff team, with many people (mostly conquerors) believing that the moderation team was corrupt, and weren’t punishing certain people, which would obviously come back to Jobo, as he was the one making sure mods were doing their jobs correctly. This was slightly true, as one member of the community (WilliamHoz) often got away with blatantly breaking rules (mostly FP and FRP) without any repercussions before being demoted and banned in late 2020. Even so, most of these claims were false and made by players who wanted someone banned. Additionally, the third controversy was about Jobo’s beliefs, as during the CFP’s lifetime, they began trying to bring down WC by making them look bad. And so, the obvious target was Jobo, as they made him look like a hateful person, with accusations of homophobia and racism thrown against him. While many brushed this off as another rumor to bring down Jobo’s reputation, this proved to be half-correct, since it's not confirmed if Jobo is racist or not, however it's known that he is homophobic, as he has used the f-slur on multiple occasions to refer to homosexuals in a negative light.
Late-2019, and the Nova-Oerip Raid[]
Throughout late 2019 from late June to September, staff reforms would continue, but from this point on, many of them would not be of much note. But in August the Nova-Oerip Raid hit the server hard and forced Jobo to implement reforms which made it harder to become staff as it forced players to go through a processing status before they become a staff member.
New Year's Raids and Early-2020[]
On December 31, 2019, a group of people who wanted change within community and the current rank system, had initiated raids for a few days on public servers. However, Jobo didn't do anything of note nor said anything that has so far been recovered and would set the stage to come for the rest of early 2020.
Beginning in early-2020 was the start of rank reforms, which would heighten standards for all ranks. This was a slight blow to the community, and a lot fought for it to be removed yet not much had happened due to the community lacking any say in terms of rules and ranking. Subsuquently, most of early-2020 went on like normal, not much different to late-2019 with development beginning to slow during this time due to pressure put onto the staff and development teams.
The Decline of Public Servers[]
During the majority of early-2020, servers were having average player counts and increased growth to the membership of the group. However, in March 2020, Jobo made a post which outlined the new rank requirements in addition to new rules and requirements for the community. This was a large change in the community since not much had changed up until that point, but it laid the foundation for World Wonquest to stagnate. Daily player count began to slow and a large number of people had lost their Trained status, which resulted in Trained going from the 2nd largest rank to the 3rd largest almost overnight. This saw a large number of players beginning to leave the server, with Jobo making a statement about it, hinting that players should know the rules and requirements. Public began to fill up with people from the group as many initiates were demoted to conquerors (due to the aformentioned reforms) and affect change, began a campaign to reverse the rank reforms during the middle of March. Thus a large society of players came together to attempt to get people to rise up for the change of the game. Chaos ensued, as freepainting became rampant, coupled with the destruction of server after server, this caused a big hit on the player count of Public and World Conquest as a whole.
Mid-2020[]
As mid-2020 began to come around, and the Coronavirus began to take hold, the group was bolstered by the flock of new players driven to the game due to the quarantine. And so, the group grew in numbers again which began the first few rule changes to combat players and rule-breakers. This was followed by restrictions on roleplay, such as floating which kicked people who don't claim a nation within 5 minutes of joining. This was followed by a controversial change in the rank structure which empowered the higher ranks, but the reform was met by some backlash, however it was largely overlooked.
Resignations and Demotions[]
Temporary Resignation[]
On Saturday, October 17, 2020, Jobo handed in his resignation, in which he wrote a long speech about it in the discord announcements and then resigned. Subsuquently, he assumed the rank of Honoured Conqueror but this wouldn't last as on October 28, 2020, which was two weeks after his supposed resignation, Jobo would announce his return to the position of Vice Chairman with the approval Phibunsongkhram.
Ban[]
Main Article: Sack of AgentJobo
On August 26, 2021, Jobo was permanently banned from World Conquest. Jobo was banned from the WC community due to his incompetency and outright abuse of his role. Announced by Phibunsongkhram, this would see the end of Jobo's staff tenure along with the dissolution of the Vice Chairman role, so although his return would seem unlikely, Jobo would be unbanned by Rasvyet on March 15, 2024. Following his return, Jobo would be given the Honoured Conqueror role and the "Acting Vice Chairman" role as a joke role, but after it was removed he was given the "Jobo" role.
Demotions[]
After his return to World Conquest, Jobo constantly ragebaited and frequently used slurs in arguments in addition to some of his behavior in debates having been nterpreted as Islamophobic. He was frequently muted, and was kicked on numerous occasions by YAGPDB's automoderation, additionally he received warnings for in-game command abuse. Because of this behavior, Administration decided to demote Jobo from his role as Honoured Conqueror on 2 seperate occasions, both causing him to leave the discord server.
The most recent of these demotions was on April 8, 2025, by Daniel_Lorusk due to his poor behaviour, which resulted in his demotion to Adept Conqueror despite never holding the rank. After this, Jobo would leave the Discord server and would also leave the World Conquest Group as well.
