The Chairman, or Owner of World Conquest is the position with full control of the World Conquest Games, Groups, and Discord. Throughout the history of World Conquest, the position has only been held by two people, Arunsongkhram and Marqret.

Powers

The Chairman has complete executive control over World Conquest, but does not fully control the Discord servers of World Conquest Subcommunities. Originally, there was a Vice Chairman chosen by the Chairman to accompany management and assist with heading the game, which was held by AgentJobo before his sack. After Jobo's sack, the position remained vacant, and instead the Head Administrator position was brought back.

History

Arunsongkhram

Arunsongkhram, originally Phibunsongkhram, was the original chairman and founder of World Conquest. Even though the de jure title was Chairman, the name on both the World Conquest Group and the Discord server was "Founder." Arunsongkhram held the role from its conception in June 20, 2017 until his resignation on December 16, 2024. The resignation was agreed on by both Arun and Marqret.

In the later months of Arun's rule, the games Concurrent users started to stagnate and decline in a period known as the Decline of World Conquest. Marqret has claimed this has resulted from poor ownership and monetization at Arun's fault.

Marqret

Marqret would become the successor to Arunsongkhram after purchasing the game for 600 USD. The de facto role name was changed from Founder to Owner, and Marqret remains the owner to this day. Under Marqret's tenure as Chairman, there have been a variety of changes to the games management and structure, including Rank reforms.
