Admin Cadet bereghosttheboy demoted a massive set of Elite Conquerors, citing "underperformance" and "inactivity" as the reasoning for the demotion. The situation is still unfolding as of this edit, but many suspect a flurry of accountabilities are about to be filed on bereghost.

Following this, Bereghost would announce to the World Conquest community a set of changes to the Elite rank to bring back its former value and prestige. These included establishing clear RP guidelines, such as:
- Effect of location and factors within it on the assault
- Effect of regional conditions, terrain, and how they affect the battle
- Usage of certain equipment and its effect on battle
- Troop positioning effect on battlefield
- Military co-operation with allied forces on a battlefield (if allies present)
- Relation of economic impacts on military actions
This now established a clear difference between Elites and Imperialists, making them separable ranks and making the Elite rank more valuable. In addition, to stop elites from falling to inactivity, he stated that Elites now must:
- Maintain activity within debates or gamenights and events
- Be active on the game playing regularly
- Posting achievements of roleplays as their nations
- Have a solid historical, political, and economic understanding
- Maintain and have a good conduct inside and outside WC.
