August 30th Incident
The Civollow Raids, or the August 30th Incident, was a raid occurring on August 30, 2021, during the Week of Trollage in which Admin Cadet "Civollow" raided the World Conquest Discord server. The incident is rather controversial amongst the community, however, the entirety of the Staff Team firmly believes that Civollow was in the wrong.
Background
The build-up to the August 30th Incident is explained throughout Civollow's "dossier" which he created following the raid. Civollow had given up on World Conquest several months prior to the raid according to this, with the community being filled with "idiots". His dislike for the community comes from the vast amount of generally dislikable people, in his "dossier", he mentions that those who denied Genocide or promoted ideologies that killed millions, specifically Nazism, however this was not the reason he raided according to his dossier.
"When I joined the Discord server, I was ignorant of some things happening for a period of time, but quickly I found out the sheer retardation in the one brain cell shared by everyone in WC. Over time, in my attempts to fix the community and save the few non-toxic members of it, I more and more realized they were in vain. " - Civollow's Dossier "For WC"
With Civollow having a distaste for the community, and his attempts to fix it in his eyes being blocked, he wanted to find a way to permanently get away from World Conquest forever, and raided with the intent of guaranteeing a permanent ban from WC so he couldn't return.
"To achieve this, I did the one offence I was able to that could guarantee a permanent ban. I raided. I didn’t seek to cause lasting damage, I sought to enjoy what time I had left while I purposefully rid myself of any remaining time in WC." - Civollow's Dossier "For WC"
The Raid
Civollow's raid began at 10:22 PM EST, with him pruning all members who hadn't been active within a period of 7 days (this being 1,300 members). He then proceeded to ban several staff members (Koluba, Noor, Reaper, so forth), from both World Conquest's Discord itself and the World Conquest Staff Discord preventing them from taking action. He also banned several well-known members, including sgtxlord.
Within the World Conquest Group itself, many changes were made, including the promotion of tens of users to moderation positions, alongside large scale demotions and promotions of users, however, most of this damage was reversed within an hour, including the establishment of a "Provisional Staff Discord". It took about a day for all staff members to return to the official World Conquest Staff Discord.
The raid was formally stopped by about 10:33 PM, lasting just about 11 minutes.
Aftermath
The incident caused moderate damage, with Marq commenting that it put a "dent" in World Conquest, however was nothing major. Civollow himself admits that he had no intentions to cause lasting damage, claiming that he would have just waited "until I got Administrator" if he wanted to be more destructive. However, the Raid itself did inspire another raid 5 days later, this time orchestrated by Prestest, a discord moderator within the community (apart of "The Week of Trollage" - The Week of Trollage (Aug 29-Sept 6) )
AgentJobo claims he has no responsibility or affiliation with the raid, alongside Civollow, who claims his raid was not affiliated with Jobo and that if Jobo wanted to raid, he could do "a lot more damage" than what he had done himself.
