Introduction[]
The Nation of Yawnia, or Republic of Yawnia, was a World Conquest Subcommunity led by Administrator 5yawn.[1] It is classified as a Nation-building RPG, or a Polisim. It is meant to simulate politics, economics, and life in a country in the early 1900's.[2]
Subcommunity History[]
Creation[]
Originally, 5yawn co-owned a subcommunity called World Conquest: Grand Campaigns along with NicolasWellesley, approved by Marqret on May 27, 2024.[3] However, as time progressed, the community began to become inactive, and eventually was discontinued.[4] This, along with the death of many other communities, lead to a revival attempt on November 22, 2024.[5]
After the revival, the Nation of Yawnia's application into becoming an official subcommunity was accepted on November 23, 2024.[6] Currently, fundamental features such as Roleplaying are still being figured out.[7]

Constitution[]
The Republic of Yawnia has 16 "National Grand Amendments."[8]
- First Amendment - Right to move freely.
- Second Amendment - Companies cannot be banned unless they commit crimes.
- Third Amendment - Congress members and presidential administration members must have a valid reason to be fired.
- Fourth Amendment - Political parties cannot exploit the population.
- Fifth Amendment - Political parties cannot fund rebellions.
- Sixth Amendment - Political parties cannot violate human rights.
- Seventh Amendment - Freedom of Religion.
- Eight Amendment - The president is not exempt from military action.
- Ninth Amendment - Political parties must qualify with YFIA regulations.
- Tenth Amendment - Elections cannot be rigged.
- Eleventh Amendment - The country must have a valid reason to invade another nation. The Geneva Convention is to be followed, and mobilization must have a valid reason.
- Twelfth Amendment - Free healthcare.
- Thirteenth Amendment - The police must remain armed, and cannot be eliminated.
- Fourteenth Amendment - The metro must be maintained at all times.
- Fifteenth Amendment - Citizens must be safeguarded.
- Sixteenth Amendment - Guns are prohibited.
Rebellions[]
In the Republic of Yawnia, users are allowed to create Rebel groups, in which they organize a server and organize crime by roleplaying. Roleplaying organized crime boosts the crime rate, and once the crime rate is up to 50%, you can coup the government. Rebellions can additionally be funded by outside nations.
Economy[]
Originally, Yawnia used the Unbelievaboat bot until it was replaced with the ECON bot, which has more features. In Yawnia, you may register illegal and legal businesses.
Government[]
Users are allowed to form political parties and independence movements, as well as recruit people for these. Yawnia is a multi-party republic, and additionally has a parliament.

- 8,000 - 6,000 BCE - Yawnia transfoms from a continental region to an island.
- 6,500 BCE - Advanced maritime technologies, such as the Wickeren Boat, are developed.
- 5,000 BCE - First farmers establish settlements along the coast.
- 4,000 BCE - Yawnian society develops social hierarchies.
- 2,500 BCE - Yawnia becomes a crucial point in the European metal trade networks during the Bronze Age.
- 1,200 BCE - 550 BCE - Celtic groups arrive during the Iron age, bringing Celtic culture.
Dark Ages[]
- 50's - 900's - Yawnian Dark Ages.
- 50's - 299 - Yawnia undergoes a complex trading relationship with the Romans. Romans settle on the southern coast of Yawnia.
- 300's - 476 - Roman power deteriorates, North Sea communities increase cooperation.
- 477 - 900's - Arrival of Germanic peoples bring in Germanic culture.
- 500's - 900's - Emergence of small kingdoms across Yawnia.
- 780's - 800's - Yawnia experiences Viking raids, Christian influence spreads.
- 900 - Danish influence begins to dominate Yawnian politics.
Medieval[]
- 900 - 1400 - Yawnian Medieval era.
- 962 - Construction of the first Yawnian stone harbor wall.
- ~1100 - Eastsid becomes a prominent trading center.
- 1100 - 1400 - Yawnia is absorbed into the Danish Kingdom.
- 1163 - Yawnian Christianity thrives, with the Cathedral of Saint Olaf creating a unique architectural style.
- ~1175 - Yawnia combines North shipbuilding with extra innovations, enabling further trade.
- 1245 - Manor of Vulkaria is constructed, further producing exquisite architecture.
- 1298 - Yawnian Code of 1298 is established, cementing maritime laws and regulation.
Age of Rivalry[]
- 1400 - 1700 - Age of Rivalry begins in Yawnia.
- 1452 - Battle of Julonia Harbor, English warships clash with Danish defense.
- ~1460 - Danes improve security over the island. Construction of the Wylon Fortress in Wulonia.
- 1523 - Formation of the Merchants League of Andour, creating organized resistance to foreign aggressiveness.
- 1579 - ~1588 - Civil war sparked by the fall of the Ordained Kingdom.
- 1588 - Yawnian Compromise of 1588 establishes a distinct Protestant form of Christianity.
- 1600's - Southwestern forests of Yawnia become a large source of naval timber
- 1612 - Forestry Code of 1612 created by the Merchants League, created sustainable harvesting practices.
- 1645 - The Islander's Tale, a poet containing vernacular literature, is created.
- 1678 - Merchants Revolt of 1678 is triggered, as Danish governors fail to cooperate with local merchants. Triggered by excessive taxation of timber exports, both sides spread propaganda.
Road to Independence[]
- 1700 - 1850 - Road to Independence Era.
- 1701 - 1714 - War of Spanish Succession, Yawnia becomes a strategic battleground.
- 1710 - Maritime trade falls by 60%.
- 1712 - The Brotherhood of the Yawnia is founded, bringing together merchants and other groups who seeked independence.
- 1775 - 1800 - Acceleration in independence sentiment.
- 1780 - Formation of the Society for Rational Governance, a group which advocated for independence.
- 1807 - 1814 - Napoleonic Wars, British occupation of Yawnia.
- 1813 - Yawnian Provisional Council is created, using de-facto governance.
- 1817 - Treaty of Vulkania is signed, Yawnia becomes an independent nation. Constitution is established.
- 1820 - Central Bank of Yawnia is established.
- 1825 - University of Yawnia is established.
- 1830's - 1840's - Golden Age of Yawnian Literature.
- 1830's - Reconstruction of Zeehuian's harbor facilities.
Republican Era[]
- 1850 - 1900 - Yawnia enters its early republican period.
- 1850 - 1870 - Many of Yawnia's government institutions are established.
- 1853 - Parliamentary Reform Act expands suffrage rights and a representative electoral system.
- 1855 - Creation of a judiciary through the Judicial Organization Act, Supreme Court of Yawnia established.
- 1857 - Civil Service Academy is established, training government administrators.
- 1870 - 1871 - Yawnia remains neutral through the Franco-Prussian war, Yawnia becomes a trade hub.
- 1875 - Education Act, establishing compulsory primary education.
- 1880's - Discovery of coal reserves in southern Yawnia, Industrial Revolution in Yawnia.
- 1882 - Stenjell coalfields are exploited, rapid industrialization.
- 1883 - Yawnian Mining Corporation is established.
- 1885 - Julonia Zeehuain Railway is completed, a 120-kilometer railway line.
- 1887 - Royal Yawnian Textile Works is established, with large-scale industrial production.
- 1888 - Technical Institute of Yawnia is established, providing training for industrial workers.
- 1888 - Socialist Workers Voice and the National Fatherland Salvation Front are established, Green Party and Old Yawnian Party compete in the Parliament.
- 1890 - Yawnian Euro is created.
- 1892 - Trade Union Act of 1892 established frameworks for bargaining and worker's rights.
- 1893 - National Theatre is constructed as part of the Reconstruction of the City of Yawnia.
- 1895 - Museum of Industry and Commerce is constructed. Naval Research Institute is established.

Great War[]
- 1900 - 1914 - Yawnia experiences political fragmentation, economic decline, and upheaval in its population.
- 1902 - Parliamentary Crisis emerges when the Socialist Workers Voice blocked a military modernization program.
- 1903 - Worker's Alliance forms, splitting the left-wing side of the Parliament.
- 1904 - 1906 - Coal Crisis emerges, extraction costs rise due to exhaustion of accessible seams in coalfields. Textile Industry suffers.
- 1906 - City Beautiful Movement plans for renovating the City of Yawnias historic center are created, but remained unrealized.
- 1908 - Harbor Modernization Plan of 1908 is unrealized due to debates over funding.
- 1909 - Monetary Crisis, Central Bang tries to maintain the gold standard amid declining exports. Deflation occurs, with a wave of business failures.
- 1910 - Emergency currency controls shifts the economy away from free-market. Founding of the Worker's Cultural Association.
- 1911 - Progressive Reform parties split from the Liberal Progressives, Conservative Party fractures between modernizers and traditionalists. Environmental Protection Agency is established.
- 1911 - Education Reform Act tries to modernize the cirriculum.
- 1912 - Workers strike for 3 months, with violent confrontations, and military mobilization

- 1913 - Parliament now constains no fewer than a few major parties.
