Early History
Prestest is a World Conquest player from the Netherlands who is generally regarded as an important and influential person within the community. Prestest has contributed a lot to the community by being a moderator for World Conquest in total for about 12 months, from July 2020 to January 2021. Additionally, Prestest took on the role of a Discord Moderator, where he built a reputation for being ostensibly trustworthy and reliable, from March 2021 until September of the same year. This tenure was ended abruptly following the September 4th Incident, which occurred in the infamous Week of Trollage.
Beginnings
Alfred, also known as Prestest, joined World Conquest in approximately July 2019. He originally played the public World Conquest games, ignorant to the other part of the community residing on Discord and, by extension, the Roblox group dedicated to World Conquest. He stumbled upon and joined both the Roblox group and the Discord server in December 2019. It was during this period that Prestest served briefly as a processor, but his stay was very short. He resigned shortly after joining, citing issues with his studies, which ironically would be a repeated theme in his time at this community.
After completing his tests, Prestest re-joined World Conquest in approximately March 2020 and rapidly rose to the rank of Imperialist. He was very active in the Discord server and later on applied for the position of staff. His application got accepted in May 2020, and with it came his career as a Trial Moderator. But there were also controversies during this career. Prestest abused his power as a moderator, with the :sword command, while in the middle of a session in-game to another player, Biztal. This did not go unnoticed; Biztal filed an official report with Administrator Cadet Marqret concerning the actions of Prestest. The matter was taken seriously, and Jobo decided to dismiss Prestest from his staff and suspend him for two months as a penalty for the abuse of commands.
Suspension
Alfred's troubles within the World Conquest community did not end there, as he found himself at the center of more controversy in June 2020. He had been banned from the Discord server by Moderator Wade for posting NSFW content. This incident was a real watershed for Alfred—a point at which he had to pause and come face to face with his conduct. During his time in suspension, Alfred used the opportunity to reflect upon his ways and mature beyond much of the public perception in which his actions had placed him as rash or injudicious.
By July 2020, Prestest felt ready to return to the community and began making active efforts to that end. He reached out to FlightDynamics, a well respected member of the community, with a request to lift his ban and allow him back into the Discord server. His appeal was taken into serious consideration, and he was welcomed back. Upon returning to the community, Alfred was observed to have rededicated himself and showed much revitalized focus. His efforts did not go unnoticed; in no time, he regained his rank. And a matter of weeks later, Alfred attained the distinguished position of Elite and had once more established himself as an active and high-ranking member in the community of World Conquest.
Return And Staff Career
After being reinstated in World Conquest and making the commitment to do better, Alfred decided to reapply. He was accepted back onto the staff, and this time he had a chance to really prove himself. This marked another great turn in life within this community he so dearly had; more resolute than ever before, he was going to make his actions right this time and handle his obligations with a greater deal of seriousness. Seeing the potential in him, sgtxlord began to mentor Prestest.
He was trained on the norms of roleplaying in WC, thus assuring a high level of immersion. Additionally, Sgtxlord emphasized the need to ensure that problems are competently dealt with With the mentorship, the skills of Prestest significantly improved. On 12th July 2020, Prestest was confirmed back to his staff position within the community to start his career afresh. This success was not only a clear proof of his determination to surmount previous obstacles but also a reflection of the confidence placed in him by the leadership to excel in the future.
The July 13th Incident
Prestest had barely returned as a staff member when he was to be thrust to the lead role in probably the most tumultuous, trying period in the history of the World Conquest community on July 13th. The incident began with Jobo, one of the most crucial members at the time of WC, controversially firing Insert from his position as an AC following the resignations of two key staff members, Marqret and Sgtxlord. This created a huge hole in leadership and thus gave way to the feeling of uncertainty and unease among both the staff and the general community.
A recently reinstated, relatively inexperienced staff member, Prestest found himself at the center of the crisis. Without the knowledge and confidence that more seasoned colleagues may have possessed, he relied heavily on the guidance of his superiors, especially Jobo and BlazingEmerald. Following their directives, Prestest took an active role in trying to quell the growing storm. One of his principal tasks was to liaise with public servers, working diligently to stem the raids that were being instigated as a direct result of the internal conflict. His work was vital in curbing the outward mayhem.
Meanwhile, Prestest took up the task, jointly with his fellow Noorullah, to manage the Discord server, where all was seriously hotting up. Together, they made a big effort to maintain order, trying to calm the growing unrest among people who were increasingly agitated. The period was marked by the unbelievable increase in accountability reports lodged against Jobo, as the community frustration levels soared.
Golden Age
With the July 13th Incident out of the way, Prestest took his new staff position with a newfound focus and determination. He even felt inspired by an unlikely source: he modeled a great deal of his actions after Biztal, the man who had turned him in for his misuse of his talents. Now a moderator, Biztal had a big influence on Prestest and pushed him to do more. In an attempt to match Biztal in dedication, Prestest took long patrol shifts, thus putting his best foot forward as a sign of improving not only his performance but his reputation. Prestest also developed close relationships with two Trial Moderators: DOOONKEH (Civollow), and DAVID4894 (KhudaBek)/ These relationships provided a thick layer of camaraderie to his staff experience and went a long way in fostering a sense of teamwork with the trio. Having had personal training by sgtxlord, Prestest showed an immense difference in his skill as a Trial Moderator compared to his previous tenure in May 2020.
Over time, Prestest worked his way up the ranks, becoming a Trial Moderator for a number of months; he proved to be diligent and effective. This paid off when he was promoted to the rank of Moderator, joining Khuda and Civ. He continued to do well as a staff member and thus grew his reputation in the community. In addition to his friendships with his peers, Prestest developed a strong relationship with bereghosttheboy, a Supervisor who would later rise to the rank of Administrator. Their relationship was one of mutual trust, and Prestest's loyalty to Bere would later be tested in very significant ways. At one point during his time here, Prestest even had ambitions to become the supervisor for the American Contingent. But this aspiration was finally thwarted when Jobo stepped in and blocked his attempt to reach the position, a disappointment that underlined the challenges he had to face despite his persistent effort to prove his worth.
The KhudaBek Situation
in December 2020 in the wake of an incident involving KhudaBek, who was found guilty of administrative abuse and was given redemption training as punishment. This marked the beginning of a tumultuous period within the community of World Conquest, with accountability reports turned in against Bereghosttheboy. Dasan took the first step and, together with other members, brought claims of misconduct against Bere. The allegations were so severe that they resulted in both Bereghostheboy and Dasan being banned from World Conquest for witch-hunting.
Amidst this chaos, KhudaBek started to think over an ambitious plan of ousting the current leadership in World Conquest. His plan was to stage what he called a "coup," with the aim of breaking up the current rule and replacing it with what he called a "federal republic." This unrealistic plan, later called "Operation Chaos," involved recruiting hackers to break into WC and undermine the authority of the administrators. The plan, a blatant disregard for the stability of the community, became infamous as one of the most reckless plots in WC.
Amidst these turbulent events, Prestest took an stand in support of Bereghosttheboy. In the line of loyalty and thoroughness, Prestest made two detailed papers with which he sought to rebut all the charges brought against Bere in the Dasan-Khuda accountability report. The previous papers carefully rebutted these, pointing out flaws in the arguments and presenting evidence to negate the claims. In addition, Prestest took this chance to criticize Khuda for his actions, thus showing his hypocrisy and unwillingness to hear different points of view. By taking a strong stance, Prestest played a crucial role in defending Bere against what he felt were unjustified and dumb accusations.
Khuda's reputation began to crumble. After his ban from World Conquest, he joined a group known as the Community of Free Painters, where he found refuge. However, after checking through the works by Prestest, Dasan realised the flaws found in Khuda's points and justifications, and Dasan decided to distance himself from Khuda and all his plans. What began as a controversial chapter ended with the discrediting of Khuda's actions and the failure of his schemes to gain any significant traction.
Resignation
Prestest was a Moderator until January 18th, 2020. He resigned that day, citing academic commitments as the main reason for doing so. His resignation was most memorable due to its timing; it just so happened to be the day before his birthday. Though he resigned from the official position, this resignation did not signal the end of Prestest's activity in the World Conquest community.
It was at this time that he fostered what would be one of his deepest and longest-lasting friendships in World Conquest, creating a strong bond with Moderator Junachonyon . Unlike many ex-staff members, Prestest was able to retain his friendships and did not hold any bitterness at all against the staff team after leaving. He did not fall into the common trend where ex-staff members eventually become more and more critical or bitter about the team they once worked with. Instead, he continued to develop his friendships and stay in touch with the team, thus developing a very positive relationship with them. This ability to keep good will would separate him from many others, who quite often became distant or antagonistic after their term, and yet he remained a vital part of the World Conquest team in his retirement.
Steady Downfall
Always Coming Back
In March 2021, Prestest re-applied to the staff; this time, he refocused his application towards the position of Discord Moderator rather than in-game moderation. his application was reviewed and accepted by Phibun, letting him back onto the staff team but into a role that was quite different. Prestest brought lots of experience and dedication in keeping order within the Discord.
Apart from being a Discord Moderator, Prestest had temporarily taken over the duties of a Trial Moderator. This time was also short-lived as he eventually resigned from this position due to the demands he felt the position was putting on him. In his own words, he explained this decision with, "I don't like babysitting 5-year-olds 24/7,".
During his time, Prestest was deeply loyal to the friends and peers he had in the community. He openly campaigned for his friend Civneau to be promoted to Administrator Cadet and stood by Bereghosttheboy through thick and thin, always ready to come to the defense of Bere whenever problems or controversy would arise, thus showing unrelenting dedication to those he trusted.
During the firing of AgentJobo, a highly controversial event within the community, Prestest took an almost neutral stance. He avoided taking any side or speaking out with strong words and instead kept his distance as tensions started to rise. In the same line of actions, Prestest did not release any official statements about the August 30th Civollow Raid and the consequent Week of Trollage, two very infamous and chaotic events. Although he chose not to make any public statement regarding the situations, many speculated that he still held some kind of relation to Civ, given the friendship and history they had.
The Prestest Purge and Persistence
" The Great Walloon Purge "
On September 4th, 2021, Prestest's tenure as a Discord Moderator for the World Conquest community came to an abrupt and controversial close when he committed administrative abuse on the Discord server. This was a pretty big turning point in his otherwise very, very long and active history within the community. Frustrated, Prestest grew increasingly irritated with what he labeled "village idiots" and other community members whom he found truly annoying. He viewed the people as pests and felt that they had long escaped any meaningful consequences for their actions.
This frustration was caused, partly, by comparisons being made with earlier periods in the community's history. During the tenures of leading figures, including Bereghosttheboy and AgentJobo, reforms were effected, which, according to Prestest, helped create a more austere and disciplined environment. As these policies and practices seemingly waned, Prestest grew increasingly bitter about what he felt was a failure to maintain accountability and enforcement. This dissatisfaction finally led him to take the matters into his own hands, and that too ended up in the undue application of the administrative power.
The consequences of his actions were immediate. His behavior was such that the leadership of the community found it unacceptable, and as a result, Prestest was permanently banned from World Conquest
Dutch Deep State
Following his ban from World Conquest, Prestest created a Discord server known as "The Dutch Deep State." This space became a private and somewhat insular group of Prestest and his inner circle of friends. Its membership included Bobel, Jlm09p (aka Reaper), Garchomp125, Civneau, Sgtxlord, Kerei, Dojosen100, Arioltheanarchist, and Bitolya among others. When the server was first created, it was very much a tight-knit community and was described by participants as being a fairly congenial place.
However, the brotherhood feeling that existed in "The Dutch Deep State" did not last without incident for long. Reaper and dojosen were involved in a server scandal, while they were still an active staff in World Conquest. It was revealed that the server was a secret base of operations where Civneau, via a secondary account, orchestrated a plan to infiltrate the staff team at World Conquest with the sole purpose of gaining administrative powers. He planned to orchestrate another raid on the community. Scarily enough, Reaper and dojosen were well aware of the plans since they had also become staff members. They even joined him in voice chats on the World Conquest Discord server, knowing full well of the details of his plan.
The situation escalated when Marqret, who then held the position of Administrator Cadet (AC), became aware of these actions. He addressed Prestest directly in the World Conquest development server, from which he was not banned yet.
During this dispute, Marqret made a proposal to Prestest: in exchange for him providing Marqret access to "The Dutch Deep State" with the goal of gathering proof against the staff involved and Civneau, he would arrange for Prestest's permanent ban from World Conquest to be lifted. After some consideration, Prestest agreed to the offer. Marqret was later given access to the server, gathered sufficient proof, and, true to his word, brought about the lifting of Prestest's ban. Due to the latter, Marqret had launched an investigation that eventually led to dojosen and Reaper being banned from World Conquest, thereby virtually exiling them from their position and status in that community. Civneau seemingly disappeared entirely from the community as well. The aftermath of these events significantly changed the dynamic within "The Dutch Deep State." Shortly after Prestest's Discord account was banned by Discord over a tangentially unrelated issue, the remaining members in his cohort moved on to form another group known as the "Pompano Phatties", with both sgtxlord and Kerei acting as dual leaders. This new server would later become infamous as the foundation of what came to be known as the "Discord Terrorist Organization." This group would eventually organize a raid on World Conquest, culminating in a series of events that led to the banning of numerous developers associated with the community.
Persistence
Pretest was unbanned by Marqret on the 8th of January, 2022. This came as a big surprise, but a good one, and many people were happy to see Pretest Unbanned. What also came as a big sunrise was the fact that Pretest's small amount of used alts were unbanned as well, as well as the fact that Pretest was never blacklisted from the staff team. However, Pretest said himself that he doesn't plan to become a staff member anytime soon.
In the year 2022, Prestest, along with his close friends Kerei and Sgtxlord, began working on development projects pertaining to WC. Their focus was on creating several new eras, specifically 1799 and 1911, and their efforts quickly placed them as integral members of the development team. Kerei and Sgtxlord were formally recognized as Development Assistants, further solidifying their role within the project. Around that time, the Achievements of the Week (AOTW) channel was brought into existence, which was a huge improvement to the community. Curraph was chosen as its first Manager of AOTW. Marqret and Curraph further expanded its reach by introducing two people, one of whom was Prestest, as the first Junior Community Associates (JCAs) to help with the project.
July 18, 2022 - The Curraph Scandal and His Promotion
On July 18, 2022, a large scandal broke out when Curraph and six others were banned for being part of a "NSFW Ring," which shocked the community. After the banning of Curraph himself, Marqret promoted Prestest to be the Manager of AOTW. Meanwhile, development work was proceeding at full steam, and Prestest took the lead in creating new eras, namely the 1962 and 1980 ones. Both were brought to a successful conclusion, but then neither was released straight away. In the meantime, too, Prestest had a go at applying once again for a staff position at World Conquest, but he hit a wall of frustration: his exclusion from staff, stemming from a raid dating back to 202 of which he had association with. At the time, appeals against blacklists were not permitted, leaving Prestest with no way to rejoin the staff team despite his valuable contributions. The situation caused him much frustration as he desperately wanted to get back his former position.
October 17, 2022 - The Expulsion of Friends and Exile On October 17th, 2022, both Kerei and Sgtxlord were banned from the community—a shockwave event. Although Prestest himself did not perform such actions, their banning highly impacted him because they were very good friends. Standing up for his friends and probably not impressed by under-the-table dynamics in that community, Prestest finally opted to leave the community altogether.
Noorullah inherited the leadership of the AOTW channel, marking the end of an era regarding Prestest's involvement in the project.
Sofarentino Raid and Re-Ban occurred in December 2022. Later on, in December 2022, the community was rocked once again by another sensational event when Sofarentino launched an unsuccessful raid on World Conquest. Prestest briefly rejoined the Discord server, mainly to mock Sofarentino's abortive attempts. His return was short-lived, however. On New Year's Eve, GreenFawkes banned Prestest from the server once again in connection with his allegiance to Kerei, who was leading secret raids on World Conquest. Although there was no evidence that Prestest himself had been on any of the raids, he was found guilty by association and received yet another permanent ban.
2023 - The Return Under An Alias
In 2023, after the number of permanent bans and having amassed a rather poor history as Prestest, he came back to World Conquest under the alias Asytrexes with a goal to rejoin the Staff Team. Handed permanent bans several times under his original identity, it was clear that coming back as Prestest was impossible. What to do? Well, just create a new account and start fresh. His only intention for doing so was having a clean slate and rewriting his story. He was influential on the moderation team back in 2020 and 2021. He was considered to be a good candidate for AC or even Administrator after the resignation of Bereghosttheboy. However, his 2021 resignation, with the interference of Jobo and the aftermath of being associated with the 2021 raid. Rejoining under a new identity was his way of finishing that incomplete chapter and finally getting the Administrator Cadet rank he had always wanted.
The Casserant Era and Rise to Prominence
Under the username of Casserant, Prestest reapplied to the staff team. He got in this time around, and his application was easily processed to being a staff member. In fact, after those couple of months, he moved fast into promotion to Moderator; broke five continuous records of reports. Due to that fact, Casserant was a very reliable staff member, super-efficient, and had a certain extent of respect among people in the community and higher-ups alike. He was well on his way to becoming an Administrator Cadet, with even Rasvyet recognizing where he was headed. This rise was brought to a screeching halt when Rasvyet uncovered evidence that tied the Casserant account to Asytrexes and, by extension, to the original Prestest account. Casserant was sacked, and he received an immediate ban. Marqret permanently banned him and confronted him via Direct Messages. In that message, Prestest fully admitted to his actions, apologized for the fraud, and promised to stop being involved with World Conquest. After a very lengthy discussion, he returned all group funds he had earned since joining the staff team and started working on completely disavowing himself from the community. For the following eight months, he stayed away.
The Return with Kerei and Sgtxlord
old friends Kerei and Sgtxlord managed to influence him into returning He appealed in a group chat to Marqret alongside his whole friend's circle; he got unbanned after a long discussion but his blacklist remained, which didn't let him join the staff team again. Prestest spent several months in the community before another ban disrupted his stay. In this case, Kerei had been banned once again, and Prestest fell victim to guilt by association since he happened to be near Kerei on a raid. Noorullah, now in power, subsequently banned Prestest once more.
2024 - Final Return and Redemption Arc
He didn't approach World Conquest again for many months. On August 1, 2024, Bobel's encouragement to get back into the community convinced him for a second shot. He managed to appeal to Daniel_Lorusk this time, and the ban was repealed.
By November 2024, Prestest decided the time was now to complete his redemption arc, and as such, he appealed to 5yawn to remove his blacklist in hopes of rejoining the staff team after three long years in exile. The appeal finally went through, and he was unblacklisted at last. Prestest reapplied to the staff team, got accepted, and is currently in Stage 4 of processing.
