Description	Stupid Screenshots Saturday is a competition which is held on biweekly basis. You are allowed to submit one screenshot, which could be from Galactic Conquest, World Conquest lite and regular version of WC. This competition shall decide who has the best submission which had the most upvotes. Each round should last from Friday - Sunday. At the end of the round, the votes shall be tallied and the winner will be announced, as well as receive @SSS Medallist and upkeep it until the end of month. Sometimes, community associates of this channel would host an event on different kinds of themes, would it be regular IRL photos theme to something else.

Introduction

Stupid Screenshots Saturday, mostly referred to as SSS, is a weekly competition in the World Conquest Discord. It involves members of the community posting the funniest World Conquest screenshots, in an attempt to win the most upvotes. It takes place in the #stupid-screenshots-saturday channel, and is hosted weekly. It started on June 14, 2019, and has been hosted every week since then.

Submissions

Once you post your submission in the channel, you garner either upvotes or downvotes. On some occasions, an event can occur, where some restrictions are lifted (ex. screenshots from all Roblox games are allowed for the week.) The channel is run by the Community Associates and Junior Community Associates, who moderate the channel and disqualify rule breakers.

If you win first place on your submission, you will receive the "SSS Medalist" role. However, if you violate the rules on your submission, it will either be deleted, or the upvote reaction on your post will be removed, acting as a disqualification. Additionally, if you continuously break the rules, you will be blacklisted from the channel, either permanently or temporarily.

1. You may only submit one submission per week.
2. You must take an actual screenshot of your post.
3. You are not permitted to use screenshots from the game itself, and you are also not allowed to use GIFS, multiple screenshots, or videos.
4. Commands in Private servers are not permitted to be used as submissions.
5. You cannot use the channel for conversations.
6. You cannot influence your votes (asking people to upvote your post)
7. You cannot steal screenshots.
8. You cannot post extremely unfunny content.
9. You cannot do stupid stuff yourself and post it as a submission.
10. You cannot post a submission that involves a disliking of a specific thing. (ex. I HATE ROMANIA!)
11. You cannot post derogatory innuendos as submissions.
12. You cannot purposefully troll, this will result in a blacklist.

History

Creation

On June 14, 2019, the channel was created, and was administered as a competition that was hosted 24 hours every Saturday. The channel was closed temporarily from August 24, 2019, to August 31, 2019, following the Nova-Oerip raid, which deleted most of the channels and wiped out the logs along with them.

In order to post in the channel, you had to have gotten the Photographer role. This was obtained by applying in an applications channel, where you would follow a specific format and get accepted or denied. In the application, you had to promise to uphold the rules and standards of SSS. This role was removed following the temporary demise of the channel in 2021.

Modern History

After a 3-year long period of the channel existing, the channel would be archived by Arunsongkhram on June 5, 2021. This was due to decreased activity within the channel. It was eventually brought back on March 24, 2022, this time with an increased duration of the contest (Saturday - Friday, 1 week). It was closely monitored by Administration and recieved a large boost in activity.

Since then, the channel has widely changed hands, originally governed by sgtxlord up until October 18, 2022, who was succeded by Huangsima (Vinylful) and Sofarentino. Huangsima was banned on December 2nd. After Sofarentino's removal from the channel on December 20th, he was replaced by Xuellito, Abigailfromsky, and Armvolin.

Originally, there were Robux rewards handed out to the winners of the contest, but this would eventually stop on March 12, 2024, with Marqret making an announcement on it the following day. Marqret would state that he didn't want the channel to be felt as a battle for Robux. It was planned for the Robux to be replaced with another reward, such as Conqueror Coins or a free gamepass, but this was never implemented.

• Xuellito served until November 13, 2023.
• Abigailfromsky served until January 28, 2024.
• Armvolin served until March 27, 2024.

Armvolin, being the last of his group, would pass on the Community Associate of SSS to 1t_qv. He still remains the Community Associate to this day. The channel is still considerably active, with some posts ammassing over 100 upvotes. It has also been the source of numerous server stickers, such as the Roleplay sticker. This channel has had a large impact on the World Conquest Community, and is loved by many.
