A Trial Moderator, frequently shortened to T-Mod, or Trial Mod, is the first rank obtainable in the World Conquest Staff Team.[1] Players have a limited time, often around a month, to either become a Moderator or get sacked.

Obtaining[]

Application[]

Applications for Trial Moderator open frequently in the #applications channel in the World Conquest Discord server. There are a multitude of questions and requirements, those being:

After, they must pass INDOC, the process of being admitted into the staff team[1]. Trial Moderators have limited powers than that of regular Moderators, in both the Game and in the Discord. Usually, there is a span of weeks, or even months, before these Trial Moderators get promoted to Moderator.[2]

Responsibilities[]

Trial Moderators gain the basic responsibilities of serving in the Staff Team. For example, T-Mods must patrol[3][4], or monitor in-game, and handle reports[4] on users. They can accept or deny these reports, and when their job is done successfully, they will get paid in Robux.[5] If a Trial Moderator displays signs of immaturity, and a prolonged record of incorrectly moderating, a Sack[6], a fancy term for Fired,[7] can occur, in which they are demoted to their rank they occupied before they joined the staff team.[6] Trial Moderators also have the option to resign.[8] In order to resign, they must submit a resignation notice to Administration. If they leave without a resignation notice, a staff blacklist will ensue.

Trial Moderators may also moderate in the Discord Server, issuing punishments for rule violations. Additionally, they are allowed to promote users to Adept or Initiate.[1] which also applies to demotions. However, Elite promotions are out of reach for Trial Moderators, and they will unlock that ability once they reach Moderator. In contrast, they CAN demote Elites.[9]

Powers[]

When it comes to bans, Trial Moderators CANNOT ban people in the discord server, but can in-game although with a set frame, with them also inable of a permanent ban in-game. In the case if a Trial Moderator is present and wants to ban someone in the Discord, they can mute the supposed rule-violator indefinitely, with the reason being "Pending Ban."[10] After that, a Moderator+ will review the situation, and ban the individual if the mute is correct. If the mute is incorrect, the individual will be unmuted. There are numerous other restrictions for Trial-Moderators as well. They cannot handle ban appeals,[11][12][13] which are apologetic letters submitted by users to try to get unbanned.
