World Conquest Academy

Introduction

The Message Sent on May 28, 2024, declaring the promised return of the academy

The World Conquest Academy is the main educational program of the World Conquest Community. It is currently the easiest way to get promotions or to learn roleplay while interacting with other World Conquest players. It had been shutdown in Late 2019 before returning in May of 2024.

History

Original Academy

The academy was established to be a useful system to improve roleplay and get more users promoted. However it was mishandled greatly, with AgentJobo being accused of taking advantage of it to boost ranks. Additionally the directors of the academy were also viewed as corrupt. Because of the rampant problems, there needed to be an immediate solution to it.

Shutdown

In order to attempt to solve the corruption issues, the Academy was shut down and reorganized multiple times throughout 2019. These efforts did not succeed, however, and the Academy eventually had to shutdown for the last time, in late 2019, with all the directors being dismissed. After the shutdown, Arunsongkhram and AgentJobo would widely hint at a potential return, but this would never happen under the watch of neither Arun or Jobo.

After the shutdown, unofficial World Conquest Academies would open, with a large desire for a return of the academy. Over 89.58 percent of people in September of 2020 supported a return. Unfortunately, the resignation and later sack of AgentJobo would delay the return further. Throughout the long five years of its absence, there were many unsuccessful pushes for the academy to return. Even after the Resignation of Arunsongkham, there wasn't any foretaste of a second academy. Suddenly, after a long period of silence, and after behind the scenes preparation, Administration would make an important announcement.

Reopening

On May 28, 2024, Marqret suddenly announced the return of the academy. The Roblox group for the academy would later be founded on June 1st, 2024. Many members of the World Conquest Community were excited to see the academy return, as it would serve as a helpful way for new members to gain more experience, whilst also remembering the original academy that existed in 2019. Furthermore, a channel for the Academy itself was set aside in the main server, allowing for people to view what it was, apply to join the Academy, et cetera.

To promote the academy and to raise awareness of its return, a re-launch event would be hosted, having UnitedStatesGermany as the winner of the competition. The re-launch was a success, meeting its goal of promoting the return, and also boosting the member count of the Academy group. Initially, the leaders were Biztal (Director), and TeapotMenace (Vice Director). Despite a slight decrease in member growth, the Academy is still very active and continues to host weekly trainings.

On October 6, 2024, a detrimental event would take place, harming the World Conquest Academy. This was the sudden resignation and later banishment of Academy Director Biztal, who had been banned for inappropriate conduct. The Director position remains unfilled, and for now, the academy is headed by the two Vice Directors, Zolwicxek and TeapotMenace.

Reforms

on December 8, the introduction of the academy's discord server initially to the instructor thread would see the introduction of further, more beneficial additions to the academy. Rather then the traditional trainings, instructors are capable of hosting Practices, designated to assist the growth of the player base and its skill level, allowing senior instructors to host unofficial trainings, alongside introducing numerous forums which anyone can post help on, and assist the improvement of other roleplays. The server was likely in order to implement a more organized form of academy, acknowledging the issues in the previous one. Now, 1t_qv has been made the Head of Academy, replacing Biztal.
