World Conquest Lite, mainly just referred to as Lite, was a separate game under the World Conquest Group. It was designed for the use of people with lower-end devices which could not handle the main World Conquest game. It contained the older, less-detailed map that existed before the 0.6.0 Update. It was intended to be a solution to people lagging and crashing due to new updates.

It was shut down and merged with the main game after The Update released, significantly reducing lag and solving the purpose of lite's existence.

History

World Conquest Lite was previously the group version of World Conquest 1936. It was changed to World Conquest Lite on September 12, 2021, after the release of the 0.6.0 Update, which added many new parts and detailed numerous parts of the map.

Like all the other World Conquest Games, the game had to be transferred to a new game on December 14, 2021. This was following the termination of Phibunsongkhram's account, after an Ultimate Trolling GUI was inserted into his Roblox Studio. It had acquired over a million visits before the transfer. During late 2024, the game experienced raids from disorganized groups.

Privitization

On February 26, 2025, Lite was privated and merged into the main game, after the release of the New Map Update. The developers of World Conquest claimed that lag was reduced by over 99.8%, and since Lite was created to accompany low-end devices, there was no longer a reason for it's existence as all devices could play the main game.

This moved was seen as ridiculous by some members of the Lite community, as some saw Lite as it's own community entirely. Some went as far to form the "Lite Republic" and created "Lite Constitution." However, these efforts were not recognized by any of administration.

The main game saw a mildly significant boost in player-count after the release of the update, likely due to new users joining and Lite members being automatically teleported to the main game.

Description

Updates

Asides from the map, Lite retained some other features that have since been removed or revamped in the main World Conquest game. Lite also retained some eras that have been removed or updated. Lite used to retain the World Conquest Lobby that was present before the Lobby Update on April 20, 2024. This included the old positioning of David's Statue, and the notable absence of the Hall of Fame. Additionally, the Server Hub Update did not reach out to Lite, resulting in its absence. This was because lower-end devices would struggle to run these, defeating the whole purpose of the game.

World Conquest Lite Malta

Contrary to the description of World Conquest Lite, Lite still received some era updates. This includes the tradition of the yearly Modern Era revamp, although these additions are sometimes late, shown by the remaining 2023 era. In minor additions, Lite had an unreasonably detailed Malta, added as a joke by BetterNotDie in 2021.

Frequently throughout October 2024, lite saw some minor and relatively larger updated on the era side. on the 21st of October, 1799 was re-added after an abrupt removal alongside the addition of 1204, which was updated 2 times into lite. Majority of the UI from main World Conquest was transferred into lite in the day prior, resulting in the aforementioned removal of 1799 until later in the day. Additional mobile UI shifts occurred primarily in the 21st, accommodating for device based issues on scaling and improper migration. Initially, 1799 was also added to lite on the 20th alongside updates in 1774. Majority of the newer updates to lite were centered around the improvement of minor qualities which were presumably necessary, as well as the addition of era's from main World Conquest to reduce redundance in lite from the unmodernized eras.

Eras

World Conquest Lite had 16 Eras accessible in Public Voting. This is significantly lower than the main game, due to the prioritization of updates on the main game. However, World Conquest Lite had 1914, an era which was merged with 1910 to make 1911 in the Base Game. As well as 2023, an era that was reworked into 2024 in the main game. In October of 2024, 1799 and 1204 were subsequently introduced into lite whilst the migration of the main UI occurred.
